Susan’s Story – Part 1

It is an extremely short version of her book “You Don’t Have to Move the Washer to Make Toast.” Even the book itself is short and summarized, so keep in mind that the story below outlines a few quick snapshots from a long and very interesting life. The point of the story is that God still pursues us even in our own rebellion against him. He loves us and continues to show His love even when we hate Him and think He hates us. And all it takes is submission to Him to have hope in our lives. God offers us a free gift, the gift of a relationship with Him, and there is no sense in running from it. Picking the TULIP of Calvinism

Photo of a Tuplip, representing the TULIP of CalvinismIn my last post I shared my struggle with Calvinism and my stigmatic impression of its standoffish culture. For the most part, it was a rant, and a rant about what I’ve seen of Calvinism so far.

Alas, being myself an evangelical, I know what it’s like to have your belief system and attitude assumed based off the many. In most cases, based off the many and most vocal who usually do not represent the most reasonable. Therefore I am intellectually bound to give the doctrine of Calvinism a fair trial in my own mind, not pre-judging it based off of emotion and first impression.

Slow Goes It

Photo of a stop sign with confusing street signsI don’t have a whole lot of regular readers at the moment. But know that if you are one of those few, I highly appreciate you. Starting a blog, let alone a whole website, can be a complicated and intimidating endeavor even for the most technically savvy.

The Bible Booth has only had its new name for some months, but the website itself has been around for a little over a year. Regrettably, it still lacks the boatload of content necessary to quantify a successful business “launch,” however large or small that might be.

And yet it is not quantity of content I wish to focus on, although that is a large goal for and significant factor to the success of a wannabe online startup like this one. I intent for each article to be informative, engaging, helpful, beautiful, and complete. Therefore there is a lot of work that goes into every “post” on this site.
